Ways to use blogs with my own students
Using blogs, I could communicate with my students about
the homework or the content in the class. Before the class, I could upload some
reading materials or website links which are going to be taught in the class. It
allows students to have a preview before the class. Also, I can design some discussing
questions and let them think about by themselves and have a discussion during
the official class.
Ways to use blogs with my own professional development
Through blogs, students can upload their assignments to
me, which can save a lot of time and being paperless. In addition, they can
also give me some feedbacks about the course, the homework or recommendations
and ideas about how to improve the learning outcomes. Also, students can ask
questions on the blogs and when can have a discussion together.

You have chosen some good ways to use blogs. Now rethink which learning standards would be met by using blogs the way you describe.
ReplyDeleteYou should not have all the standards listed. Please revise your post to just include the ones that correlate best with your ideas for using blogs.
Rui- Blogs are the perfect way to communicate with students about homework and upcoming assignments- I like that you are the organized and prepared type that will have materials and lessons posted on your blog ahead of time, so students can know what to expect.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinions. But I think your blog will be more attractive if you make it colorful.^ ^
ReplyDeleteRui,
ReplyDeleteI like that you look at your blog as a way to be environmental and "go green". I think it's an important concept to teach our students. You also address the convience of utilizing your blog as a better way of keeping in touch with your students, which is very nice. It does give our students better access to us, and can help us to address any issues or problems they might be having early on.
